Bosch Series 6 WIW28302GB Washing Machine White

Room for the weekly wash

The 8 kg drum handles a typical family load, roughly 40 T-shirts or a king-size duvet set, so most households can wash a full basket in a single cycle. A maximum spin speed of 1400 rpm is the sweet spot for a mid-range machine, pulling more water from heavy cottons so airing or tumble drying takes less time. VarioDrum paddles rotate fabrics gently into the centre, reducing wear on shirts, knitwear and lighter mixes.

Lower bills every wash

The C energy rating is mid-table for current integrated models, with energy consumption of 62 kWh per 100 cycles. Water use sits at 45 litres per cycle, which is reasonable for an 8 kg drum. ActiveWater Plus adjusts water draw to the load size, so smaller washes do not pull a full tank. Spin-drying efficiency is rated B, meaning clothes come out drier and need less tumble dryer time.

Programmes that earn their place

Across 14 programmes, the practical wins stand out. SpeedPerfect cuts cycle time on most settings when you are in a rush, and a 46 minute Quick Wash refreshes a 4 kg load before work. AllergyPlus runs a hotter, longer rinse to lift allergens and detergent residue, useful for sensitive skin. A Reload function lets you pause mid-cycle to add stray socks, and a 24 hour delay start lines washes up with cheaper overnight tariffs.

Quiet enough for open plan

At 596 mm wide, 818 mm high and 544 mm deep, the Bosch WIW28302GB slots behind a standard kitchen cabinet door. Spin noise of 66 dB(A) earns an A noise emission class, quiet enough for open plan kitchens and rooms above bedrooms. EcoSilence Drive, front loading, a child lock and rotary plus touch controls with LCD finish a tidy package.
